As the leading voice for U.S. Hispanic businesses, the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is co-sponsoring a Presidential Town Hall event hosted by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada held at the College of Southern Nevada.
The USHCC is proud to partner with LULAC, the nation’s oldest and largest Latino Civil Rights Organization. This year, Latinos are expected for the first time to be the nation’s largest racial or ethnic minority in a U.S. presidential election, with a record 32 million projected to be eligible to vote. They will account for 13.3% of the electorate, according to the Pew Research Center. The Presidential Town Hall will serve to address issues that impact our Hispanic community, including approximately 500,000 eligible Latino voters in Nevada.
The USHCC actively promotes the economic growth, development, and interests of more than 4.37 million Hispanic-owned businesses, that combined, contribute over $700 billion to the American economy every year. It also advocates on behalf of 260 major American corporations and serves as the umbrella organization for more than 200 local chambers and business associations nationwide.
