Boston College’s recruiting efforts in Texas have paid dividends recently, as it has landed three players from the Lone Star State in the last two cycles.
Could Collin Wright be next?
Boston College offered the 2022 Manvel (Texas) High School safety earlier this week, becoming the 26th program to enter the race to land the three-star defensive back. Wright’s offer came courtesy of defensive backs coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim, who left a worthy first impression.
“He told me that he likes what he sees out of me academically and athletically and that I am a good fit at BC,” Wright told Eagle Insider. “He sounds like a great guy who will demand a lot out of his players on the field. Wright is currently planning on wrapping up his recruitment at some point before the beginning of his senior year.
“I’m considering the schools that have been in the most contact with me recently,” Wright said. “I’m looking for a school with high academics, a solid football program and a family-oriented community.
247Sports ranks Wright as the No. 49 safety in the class of 2022 and No. 115 recruit in Texas.
