Celebrate Global Fest on Aug. 17[dropcap]J[/dropcap]oin in Aurora’s annual celebration of international cultures with Global Fest, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 17 on the Great Lawn of the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway.
Now in its sixth year, this free fun-filled day of music, dance, art and food from around the world is an opportunity to showcase Aurora’s diversity and what unites us as a city.
Global Fest includes two stages of performances, food vendors with global flavors, a Parade of Nations, an International Fashion Show, an International Marketplace, activities for the whole family and more. New for 2019 is an International Marketplace, sponsored by ConocoPhillips, featuring vendors selling merchandise inspired by their heritage and cultures. Plus, this year’s Global Fest features a performance by acclaimed Colombian electro harpist Enki Bello on the BOK Financial Stage.
Global Fest also features a children’s activity area, including crafts and activities from Museo de las Americas, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Denver Center for the Performing Arts and the Denver Zoo, in partnership with the Mexican Cultural Center.
