SOUTHWICK — When Select Board member Diane Gale announced for four finalists for the two available retail cannabis permits last week, she didn’t include the application submitted by town resident James Jaron, who is the president of Holyoke Cannabis, didn’t to explain why his application was rejected, and he has yet to be formally notified.
“I deserve to be informed. I was disappointed that I didn’t get a courtesy phone call,” Jaron said on June 19.
Of the five people or groups that applied to the Southwick Select Board for a license to open a cannabis retail store in town, Jaron’s application was the only one that didn’t make it onto a list of finalists Gale presented to her fellow Select Board members on June 17. There are two licenses available.
