LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas businesses are joining forces this February for National Heart Month to support the Nevada Children’s Heart Foundation.
Through dining and shopping events, locals can contribute to raising money and awareness for congenital heart defects. Melissa Cipriano, executive director of the foundation, highlighted the importance of these efforts, stating, “Whether it’s through fun or food, Nevada Children’s Heart Foundation supports the one in 100 kids born with congenital heart defects, with all money raised staying in Nevada.”
The foundation is also celebrating its 25th anniversary with the launch of Club 25, a monthly giving program. This initiative aims to provide steady support for programs like Camp Mend-a-Heart and family outreach. Participants in Club 25 will receive a special foundation t-shirt.
Fundraising events include partnerships with local businesses such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Stephano’s Greek & Mediterranean Grill, and Mothership Coffee. Each business will donate a portion of their sales to the foundation.
