Missouri Military Academy will host cadet families and friends from across the United States and around the world for a Valentine Weekend celebration February 13-15.

Featured events will include an admissions open house, parent conferences with faculty and residential life, a battalion review and the Valentine Ball, a news release stated. Families may check out their cadets for off-campus time on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday, in accordance with Academy guidelines.

On Feb. 14, the Academy will host an admissions open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Any community members and their families are welcome to attend. During the open house, attendees will learn about MMA in a small group setting. This event includes time with Academy leadership, admissions counselors and faculty. Families will hear about how to transfer their sons for the spring 2026 semester, summer camps and fall 2026 enrollment. Day school information will be shared with local families considering enrollment. Registration is requested and available on MMA’s website.

In addition to attending classes with cadets on Friday morning, families will attend conferences with teachers and company leadership advisors on Thursday (virtual), Friday and Saturday to learn about their cadets’ growth and opportunities.

The corps of cadets will perform a battalion review on Feb. 14 at 10:45 a.m. at the Alain M. Garcia Almada ’06 Field House. Families will have the opportunity to see the MMA Corps of Cadets’ military bearing, discipline and teamwork on display during this formal review.

MMA’s Valentine Ball will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 in Centennial Gymtorium. A prom-like formal dance, the Valentine Ball is an RSVP-only event for cadets, their dates and their families. The event begins with a Grand March at 7 p.m., formally opening the ball. Later, a ceremony takes place to crown the Valentine Ball Queen. MMA annually welcomes Miss Missouri, Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen, Miss Missouri Teen USA, Miss Missouri Volunteer, Miss Missouri Volunteer Teen and other local pageant winners to the Valentine Ball. Select MMA leaders escort these special guests to the ball.
