Greenwood Brewing is opening a second location in Chandler, where it all began.
Industrial engineer-turned-brewer Megan Greenwood fell in love with craft beer after she received a brewing kit for her birthday. She loved it so much that she went from a five-gallon kit to a 25-gallon one in her garage in Chandler. She officially launched her brewery in 2017. Three years later, she opened her first taproom in downtown Phoenix. Since opening, Greenwood Brewing has become one of the 20 biggest breweries in Arizona, winning numerous awards, including multiple Arizona Craft Beer Awards since 2022.
With the new location, Greenwood has come full circle, as the Chandler space is just over a mile from her garage brewery. The Chandler taproom is slated to open downtown later in the year.
“Greenwood Brewing opened in 2020, in the middle of COVID, and it wasn’t an easy place to start,” Greenwood said in a press release. “Since then, Greenwood has grown into something I’m deeply proud of. Bringing our next chapter to Chandler, the city where my brewing journey began, feels incredibly meaningful, and I’m excited to serve this community in a thoughtful and welcoming way.”
In addition to beer, guests can expect both indoor and outdoor spaces, light bites and wine.
Greenwood will continue her focus on giving back to the community, donating 20 percent of her profits to nonprofits focused on women and families. She will also partner with local artists.
