The Boston Celtics released an injury report on Monday night ahead of their Tuesday night clash with the Phoenix Suns on the road.
Besides Jayson Tatum (Achilles), the lone player listed for Boston was All-Star Jaylen Brown, who suffered a knee contusion in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Injury Report for tomorrow at PHX:
Jaylen Brown – Right Knee Contusion – QUESTIONABLE
Jayson Tatum – Right Achilles Repair – OUT— Boston Celtics (@celtics) February 23, 2026
CLNS media’s Bobby Manning weighed in on Brown.
“(Celtics) added Jaylen Brown to the injury report with a right knee contusion,” Manning wrote. “He’s questionable to begin the back-to-back tomorrow between Phoenix and Denver. FWIW, he hasn’t rested often in those circumstances.”
Brown is having an MVP-type season for the Celtics through 51 games played. He’s averaging a career-best 29.2 points per game and has scored 30-plus points in 28 games so far, which is ranked tenth all-time in Celtics history (tied with Jayson Tatum) for 30-plus point game in a single season.
The Celtics enter Tuesday’s game with a 37-19 record.
