HEINEKEN has appointed Romain Apert as Chief Digital & Technology Officer (CDTO) and member of the HEINEKEN Executive Team.
He succeeds Ronald den Elzen, who is stepping down after 31 years with the company.
Apert joins from Mars, where he spent more than two decades in global CIO roles. Most recently, as Chief Information Officer for Mars Petcare, he led a multi-year digital transformation programme spanning ERP modernisation, data foundation development and enterprise capability building to support growth and productivity.
In his new role, he will support the delivery of HEINEKEN’s EverGreen 2030 strategy, including further deployment of the company’s Digital Backbone and scaling the use of data and AI across the organisation.
