DENVER, Colo. – Sun Devil Hockey dropped game one of the weekend series to No. 8 Denver, 5-2 (EN), on Friday night at Magness Arena.
Arizona State saw goals from freshman forward Sam Alfano and senior forward Bennett Schimek.
Senior forward Cruz Lucius recorded the primary assist on Schimek’s goal, notching his 46th point of the season, and now sits two points shy of tying ASU’s single-season points record of 48, held by Lukas Sillinger.
The Sun Devils close the regular season in game two of the series Saturday night with puck drop set for 6:00 p.m. MST. Fans can tune in on NCHC.TV, with the radio broadcast available on Fox Sports 910 AM.
