Pleasant was one of five 125-pounders to receive an at-large selection. The redshirt senior was named the No. 31 seed and will face No. 2 Eddie Ventresca of Virginia Tech. Pleasant finished third at the EIWA Championships with a 3-1 record and recorded a team-high nine technical fall wins this season.
Walsh finished fourth at the EIWA Championships last weekend at 165 pounds, earning an automatic bid to March Matness. Walsh received the No. 32 seed and will face VMI’s Ryan Vigil in a “wrestle-in” match. The winner will face Penn State’s No. 1 seed, Mitchell Mesenbrink. The Cherry Hill, N.J., native leads Drexel in wins with 27.
Schon secured the No. 19 seed in his first season as a Dragon at 285-pounds. The heavyweight will face No. 14 Koy Hopke of Minnesota in the opening round. The redshirt junior qualified for the NCAA Championships in spectacular fashion, pinning Army’s top-seeded Brady Colbert at the EIWA Championships in just 1:06. Schon finished second overall at the tournament.
