In the race to fill retiring U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin’s seat, more than a dozen Democratic and Republican hopefuls threw their hats in the ring.
Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton clinched the Democratic nomination, coming up on top of a double-digit ballot featuring multiple members of Congress. The Associated Press called the race for Stratton at 9:38 p.m. on Tuesday.
Former Illinois Republican Party Chair Don Tracy will face Stratton in November, defeating five other hopefuls. The Associated Press called the race for Tracy about 90 minutes after the polls closed.
While Stratton ultimately won, she did not win every county in Illinois. Tracy won the majority of votes in all but a handful of counties. Take a look at how each Illinois county voted below. This will update as votes continue to be reported.
