Starts with the consolation semifinals – two in each weight class, then followed by the placement matches (3rd, 5th and 7th).
1:06 PM – The medal matches come to an end, back for the 2026 NCAA finals at 6:30 p.m.
1:05 PM – He came to back home to Michigan for his final season from Campbell, and two-time All-American Taye Ghadiali closes out his college career with a third place finish at heavyweight, 5-1.
1:04 PM – Another highest place finisher in school history, this time it was Stephen Little of Little Rock for 3rd at 197 pounds.
1:03 PM – #2 Sinclair of Missouri closes with a 17-4 win to place 3rd at 184 pounds.
12:56 PM – In a battle of 2 true freshmen at 133 pounds, #4 Seidel of Virginia Tech with a slight upset over #3 Blaze of Penn State in the 3rd place match, 5-0.
12:54 PM – Might be big for the team race, in his final college match, two-time All-American Patrick Kennedy of Iowa took out fellow two-time All-American Carson Kharchla of Ohio State in his final match, 8-6 for 3rd place at 174 pounds
12:53 PM – In his senior season, #12 seed Cesar Alvan becomes Columbia’s highest finisher ever, taking 3rd at 165 pounds.
12:51 PM – True freshman PJ Duke of Penn State puts a bow on his impressive rookie season with a 20-4 tech fall to place 3rd at 157 pounds.
12:44 PM – Four-time All-American Lachlan McNeil of Michigan caps his college career with a 10-5 win, placing third at 141 pounds after starting as the 11th seed.
12:43 PM – Stanford’s Provo defeats 2025 national champion Vincent Robinson of NC State for the third time this year (10-2 major today ) to place 3rd at 125 pounds.
12:39 PM – 2025 U20 World Gold medalist Luke Stanich of Lehigh takes 3rd place at 141 pounds after defeating 2023 U23 World team member Brock Hardy of Nebraska in Hardy’s final college match, 7-2. Brady graduated high school in 2018 and was a four-time All-American and gets a standing ovation leaving the mat.
12:29 PM – Three-time All-American, and two-time NCAA finalist caps his Iowa career with a 16-5 major decision over Stanford’s Knox in the 5th place matches.
12:22 PM – With a medical forfeit, Air Force’s Carter Nogle places 5th at 141 pounds! He was the 18th seed and lost his opening bout, then won five straight in the consolation rounds to earn All-American honors. In the Blood Round last night, he notched a win over #6 Cornella of Cornell.
12:20 PM – Onto our 5th place matches.
12:19 PM – A pair of seniors that were both high school teammates and teammates at Ohio State, Hepner of UNC defeats Gallagher of Ohio State in the 7th place match.
12:18 PM – What a story for Iowa’s Gabe Arnold, the ultimate team guy! He has competed in three different weight classes this year – 174, 184 and 197. Was thrown up at 197 pounds late and was given the #27 seed due to inactivity at the weight. He comes back from Cleveland with All-American honors and a 7th place finish.
12:10 PM – 2025 national champion and four-time All-American Lucas Byrd of Illinois finishes his career with an 8th place finish at 133 pounds.
12:06 PM – Going out in style at 125 pounds, two-time All-American Jore Volk of Minnesota with a 14-1 major decision in his final collegiate match to place 7th.
12:02 PM – Capping his collegiate career with a FALL, three-time All-American CJ Composto of Penn captures 7th place at 141 pounds.
11:57 AM – We will have all the 7th place matches, then all the 5th place matches, then all the 3rd place matches.
11:55 AM – 4rd place bout at heavyweight: #3 Ghadiali (Michigan) vs. #7 Doucet (Oklahoma State). Doucet received a MFF over Nebraska’s Ferrari.
11:54 AM – 3rd Place bout at 197 pounds: #3 Little (Little Rock) vs. #5 Novak (Wyoming).
11:48 AM – 3rd Place bout at 184 pounds: #2 Sinclair (Missouri) vs. #10 Campos (American). Campos received a MFF over #7 Ferrari (Iowa).
11:46 AM – 3rd Place bout at 174: Feel like we have seen this All-Big Ten affair before, #4 Kharchla (Ohio State) vs. #5 Kennedy (Iowa). In fact, Kennedy won in ride outs in the quartefinals.
11:40 AM – 3rd Place bout at 157 pounds: All-Big Ten affair with #1 Duke (Penn State) vs. #8 Cannon (Ohio State).
11:38 AM – 3rd Place bout at 165 pounds: #4 Ruiz (Arizona State) vs. #12 Alvan (Columbia).
11:31 AM – 3rd Place bout at 141 pounds: #3 Hardy (Nebraska) vs. #5 Stanich (Lehigh). Hardy received a MFF over Iowa State’s Echemendia, while Nogle (Air Force) took a loss after 5 straight wins in the consolations after losing his first round match.
11:26 AM – 3rd Place bout at 149 pounds: All-Big Ten affair with #11 McNeil (Michigan) vs. #20 Lamer (Nebraska). McNeil is four-time All-American, while Lamer earned AA honors for the first time after being a four-time qualifier, and his at his third school.
11:22 AM – 3rd Place bout at 125 pounds: All-ACC affair with #7 Provo (Stanford) vs. #12 Robinson (NC State) – 2025 NCAA finals rematch for the 2nd time this tournament between Robinson and Spratley (OK State).
11:13 AM – 3rd Place bout at 133 pounds: #3 Blaze (Penn State) vs. #4 Seidel (Virginia Tech) – both went for bonus in their first bouts today.
