After 25 years of service, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will officially close the doors of its Upper Kirby location this April.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is a concept of parent company, Bloomin’ Brands. The company is one of the largest casual dining restaurant companies in the country. Its most popular concepts include Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and Bonefish Grill.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is the company’s upscale take on the classic American steakhouse. While the restaurant has two other locations in the Houston area, its outpost at 2405 West Alabama Street in Upper Kirby will be shuttering on April 18.

According to CultureMap, the reason the restaurant is closing is because Bloomin’ Brands have chosen not to renew its lease:
“We appreciate the community’s support the past 25 years and hope to serve them at one of our other Houston-area Fleming’s locations”, said Bloomin’ Brands’ director of media & community relations, Elizabeth Daly.
Daly also stated that restaurant employees will be able to transfer to another one of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar restaurants: 788 W. Sam Houston Parkway North in Town & Country Village and 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive, Suite 305 at The Woodlands Mall.

From now until April 18, the steakhouse will feature a number of special promotions at its Upper Kirby location. On Easter weekend, April 4 and April 5, the steakhouse will serve a two-course brunch. Furthermore, the steakhouse will also offer its Tomahawk Tuesday deal. Priced at $165, patrons can enjoy a 35-oz steak with sides, salad, and dessert.
Until the restaurant closes this April, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is open from 4 pm – 10 pm Monday through Saturday and from 4 pm – 9 pm on Sundays.
