Nearly 740,000 Granitestone sauté pans sold at Costco, Walmart.com, and Amazon.com have been recalled after 98 reported incidents involving detached metal caps.
Sauté pans sold nationwide at Costco and through Costco.com, Walmart.com, and Amazon.com have been recalled after the metal cap on the handle reportedly detached and forcefully ejected when heated.
The recall affects Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Stainless 10-inch and 11.5-inch sauté pans made by E Mishan and sold in a two-piece set. According to the recall notice, E Mishan received 98 incident reports, including one consumer who reported bruising and burn injuries.
“Consumers should stop using the recalled sauté pans immediately and contact E Mishan for a full refund,” the company said in a notice posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website.
The recalled pans carry UPC number 0-80313-08131-6. About 740,000 units are included in the recall.
