World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) announced the appointment of Nate Callister, president and CEO of Zions Bank, to its board of directors.
For nearly two decades, Zions Bank has been a vital partner in global business development and community initiatives. With an extensive portfolio of services and a global network, Zions Bank is a crucial resource for trade finance, risk‑management solutions, and banking infrastructure — helping Utah businesses move from local success to global operations.
WTC Utah is proud to co-host the Zions Bank Crossroads of the World International Trade Summit, a two-day conference that convenes international business and diplomatic leaders to discuss the trends and forces shaping global commerce. This year’s summit is slated for May 6-7 in Salt Lake City.
Founded in Utah in 1873 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, Zions Bank has long been identified with the state’s commercial growth and regional identity. Over decades, it has grown into a respected national banking organization with correspondent relationships and service capabilities that reach worldwide markets, combining community banking knowledge and values with large‑bank capabilities.
“I am honored to join the WTC Utah board of directors. Zions Bank has always valued our partnership with WTC Utah, as we are both dedicated to building community and fostering a robust economy through global connectivity,” said Callister. “I am eager to support the continued success of Utah’s international business community.”
Callister is president and CEO of Zions Bank and an executive vice president of Zions Bancorporation (NASDAQ: ZION). He has more than 25 years of commercial banking leadership experience, including serving as head of commercial and corporate banking at Zions. He has served in many community leadership roles, including as board chair of the Salt Lake Chamber.
“Nate brings deep experience in banking and community leadership, and a strong understanding of the role global trade plays in Utah’s economy,” said Jonathan Freedman, president and CEO of WTC Utah. “We look forward to working alongside him and continuing our partnership with Zions Bank to expand opportunities for Utah businesses.”
WTC Utah’s board of directors is chaired by Jeff Flake, former U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Türkiye and former U.S. senator representing Arizona. With a vision to make Utah the crossroads of the world, one business at a time, WTC Utah leverages the leadership and experience of its board to bolster international opportunities for companies throughout the state.
