During the Side Hustles @ Schreiber Lobby event, marketing and management major Cayla Johnson talked to attendees about her business Cayla Evalean Brand Consulting, which turns personal and professional brands into measurable assets.
For the third straight year, Loyola University Chicago students gathered in the Schreiber Center lobby to showcase their entrepreneurial endeavors during Ignite Lab’s Side Hustles @ Schreiber Lobby. Featured student businesses ranged from theater production to agriculture to tech.
Ten students from throughout Loyola were selected from a pool of 33 applicants to present their businesses to anonymous judges and passersby. Of those, five received either a Judges Choice Award or a Peer Choice Award and a $500 prize.
“We are proud to see how this celebration of Loyola students’ ideas and businesses has grown over the last three years,” said Ugur Uygur, associate professor and director of Ignite Lab. “All students, staff, and faculty who have entrepreneurial ideas are invited to get in touch with Ignite Lab for free mentorship and support.”
Adding to the day’s excitement was WBBM Newsradio reporting from the event. See the WBBM Newsradio coverage. You can also experience Side Hustles @ Schreiber Lobby through a highlight video and event photos.
