Students in Maker Studio

The Teaching, Learning and Technology Center (TLTC) invites the Seton Hall community to explore emerging technologies, develop
new skills and engage in hands-on learning experiences through a series of interactive
workshops and open studio opportunities.

This summer, the TLTC will offer a three-part workshop series focused on five featured
technologies: 3D printing, lightboard, podcasting, sublimation printing and laser
cutting. Workshops will take place in the Innovation Hub, which will be open throughout the summer from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Each series is designed to guide participants through the complete creative process,
from ideation and planning to production and refinement, through collaborative, project-based
learning experiences.

Participants who complete all three sessions in a series and successfully create an
artifact using the featured technology will earn a digital badge recognizing their engagement, skill development and applied learning experience.

Space is limited and early registration is encouraged.

Podcasting Workshop Series

The Podcasting Workshop Series introduces participants to the fundamentals of podcast creation, including recording
techniques, audio equipment, editing and publishing workflows. Participants will explore
how podcasting can support teaching, storytelling, student engagement, research dissemination
and creative expression while producing an original podcast episode.

The Podcasting series will be held in the Content Creation Studios on consecutive Wednesdays, May 27, June 3 and June 10, 2026, from 1 to 2 p.m.

3D Printing Workshop Series

The 3D Printing Workshop Series introduces participants to the fundamentals of 3D printing while exploring creative
and instructional applications across disciplines. Participants will learn how 3D
printers operate, examine ways to integrate 3D printed projects into teaching and
learning and design and produce an original printed artifact.

The 3D Printing series will be held in the Maker Studio on consecutive Mondays, June 8, June 15 and June 22, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. An optional materials fee may apply.

Laser Cutting and Engraving Workshop Series

The Laser Cutting and Engraving Workshop Series introduces participants to the laser fabrication process and explores how digital
fabrication can support teaching, creative projects, research and hands on learning
experiences. Participants will experiment with transforming digital concepts into
a custom puzzle design.

The Laser Cutting and Engraving series will be held in the Maker Studio on Thursday, June 18 and Thursday, June 25, followed by Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from
10 to 11 a.m. An optional materials fee may apply.

Sublimation Printing Workshop Series

The Sublimation Printing Workshop Series teaches participants the fundamentals of transferring custom designs onto a variety
of materials and products. Participants will explore creative and instructional applications
for sublimation projects, including prototyping, branding, team building and student
engagement activities.

The Sublimation Printing series will be held in the Maker Studio on consecutive Tuesdays, June 30, July 7 and July 14, from 2 to 3 p.m. An optional materials fee may apply.

Lightboard Workshop Series

Participants in the Lightboard Workshop Series will learn how to operate the lightboard studio, explore strategies for integrating
lightboard videos into teaching and student learning and develop their own recorded
presentation. By the conclusion of the series, participants will have practical experience
with the technology and a completed instructional artifact suitable for academic,
professional or creative use.

The Lightboard series will be held in the Content Creation Studios on consecutive Thursdays, July 9, July 16 and July 23, 2026, from 2 to 3 p.m.

To explore the full schedule of summer workshops, training sessions and Innovation
Hub opportunities, visit the TLTC Training and Workshops Calendar and learn more about available technologies and studio spaces through the Innovation Hub website.
