This upcoming graduation season marks the first year high school seniors from Argosy Collegiate Charter School in Fall River will graduate with associate degrees.

Argosy offers SouthCoast’s only wall to wall Early College Program, providing every student the opportunity to earn free college credits as early as the summer before their ninth grade in partnership with Bristol Community College and UMass Dartmouth. Argosy’s high school opened in 2017, and the school is proud to see its growth in early college programming since its founding.

This year, 20 senior students out of 66 will have earned associate degrees at Bristol Community College. Although not all seniors will be graduating with an associate’s degree, every senior will be graduating with tuition free college credits, with the class of 2026 on track to earn 2,261 credits in their high school career, including 1,055 credits just this year. Students will go on to attend colleges from Boston University and Northeastern University to Bridgewater State University, Roger Williams University, and beyond.

In line with Governor Maura Healey’s recent goal to expand early college access for students across the state, Argosy is a model school for this goal, helping students achieve a significant jumpstart in their higher education journey. 100% of Argosy seniors graduate with college credits and get accepted into college. The school serves a diverse student population, including English Language Learners, special education students, and Hispanic, Latino, and African American students — all of whom have nearly a 100% pass rate in the college courses they enroll in. Please see below for pass rates for the class of 2025 and 2026.

The 20 seniors who earned associate degrees will participate in two graduation ceremonies: one at Bristol Community College on May 16th and another at Argosy on June 4th. Argosy’s graduation, which will celebrate all 66 seniors, will also be held at the Bristol Community College campus where college President Sedgwick L. Harris will be speaking.
