San Antonio’s luxury fashion footprint is expanding.

AMIRI, a designer fashion label beloved by celebrities like Megan Thee Stallion and Jeff Goldblum, is coming to 15900 La Cantera Pkwy. According to a Thursday report from CultureMap, the buzzy brand is opening a 2,203-square-foot boutique at the open-air shopping mall, where it’ll likely entice patrons to purchase luxe ready-to-wear items designed by founder Mike Amiri.

According to AMIRI’s “about” page, Amiri kicked off his fashion career by “hand-crafting unique stage pieces for legendary L.A. performers” like Beyoncé, Axl Rose, Karol G, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone and Steven Tyler, to name a few. He officially founded the label in 2014 with the launch of his first menswear fashion line.

Now, over a decade later, the brand has expanded to a global luxury fashion house with plenty more stores in development in Texas — including at the San Marcos Premium Outlets and Dallas’ NorthPark Center shopping destination, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The Galleria shopping center in Houston welcomed its own AMIRI outpost in October 2023, with the founder himself announcing the label’s arrival to the city.

The brand is known for its West Coast, California-cool aesthetic that combines a luxury fashion feel with a flashy rock ‘n roll edge. As of Friday, it’s unknown whether the AMIRI outpost will carry the brand’s full line, or just a few select fashion pieces.

Construction on the project may be complete as soon as this fall, according to CultureMap’s report. Developers expect to invest as much as $450,000 in project costs, according to the San Antonio Business Journal.
