Minneapolis and the Minnesota Vikings will be selected to host the 2028 NFL Draft, according to multiple reports.
Landing the draft fulfills a longtime goal of the city since the construction of U.S. Bank Stadium, which already brought a Super Bowl to Minneapolis in 2018.

For decades, the NFL held the draft in New York, but in 2015, the league began opening the location to a bidding process. Minnesota Sports and Events submitted the bid for the three-day event, which draws tens of thousands of fans each year.
In March, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said landing the bid would mark “an excellent opportunity to showcase our city.”
The NFL is expected to formally announce the 2028 draft location once it is approved during the annual NFL Spring Meetings among league ownership this week in Orlando.
This year’s NFL Draft was held in Pittsburgh, and the 2027 draft will take place on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
