H-E-B is nearly ready to open yet another store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The San Antonio-based grocery chain plans to launch its latest site in Irving on June 17, according to a company statement. The store is at Interstate 635 near Olympus Boulevard.
H-E-B, which had earlier expected the store to open in late 2026, is ramping up additions in the growing D-FW area as it covers more of the growing population. The company — while shaking up the market that includes many Walmart and Kroger locations, among others — opened a shop in the Euless area last month and a store in Forney earlier this year. The grocer is moving forward on its first namesake store in the city of Dallas after getting City Council approval.
Joe V’s Smart Shop, an H-E-B brand that has a smaller footprint and targets the price-conscious, opened last year in Irving at 2407 W. Airport Freeway.
The new site serves the Las Colinas community and was to be located in front of a former Fry’s Electronics store, the company has said. It’s set to also serve nearby communities around Coppell, Grapevine and West Dallas.
