British born cultural specialist brings seven years of luxury hospitality experience across Miami, Los Angeles, and Tel Aviv to a Brickell property, anchoring partnerships with Estrella Damm, San Pellegrino, and ACED Gallery

Article by Jacob Robertson

Charley Olmer, a British born experiential arts and cultural programming specialist, has established Dua Miami Hotel, a Marriott Autograph Collection property in Brickell, as one of the city’s most actively programmed cultural destinations. As the property’s cultural programming lead, Olmer has developed a multi year strategy that integrates contemporary art curation, global brand partnerships, and large scale cultural activations directly into the hotel’s operating model.

The work reflects a broader thesis Olmer has refined across three markets and seven years in luxury hospitality: that hotels function most successfully when they operate as cultural addresses rather than conventional accommodations.

Artist Residency and On Property Curation

In partnership with ACED Gallery, a contemporary art platform with locations across Miami, New York, and the East Coast, Olmer built and oversees an ongoing artist residency and curation program at Dua Miami. The initiative selects emerging artists, places original works throughout the property’s public and guest facing spaces, and commissioned a custom mural for the hotel lobby. The program functions as a working gallery environment alongside the hotel’s hospitality operations.

Brand Partnerships Structured as Experiential Programming

Olmer has developed collaborations with global luxury and lifestyle brands structured as immersive experiential programming rather than conventional sponsorships. The property hosted the 2025 U.S. edition of the Estrella Damm Gastronomy Congress, celebrating ten years of Disfrutar, the World’s No. 1 Restaurant. The event marked the first time the Congress returned to Miami in seven years and drew more than 200 guests, including leading chefs from across the city.

A separate collaboration with San Pellegrino has produced additional on property programming. Dua Miami has also been established as the exclusive Miami venue for Yoga in the Sky, a rooftop wellness series, anchoring the property inside the city’s wellness and lifestyle conversation.

Miami Music Week Activations

During Miami Music Week, one of the city’s most competitive annual cultural moments, Olmer programs large scale activations featuring internationally recognised artists. The activations have helped position Dua Miami inside Miami’s calendar of defining cultural events, distinct from the property’s standard hospitality offering.

Editorial and Production Partnerships

In addition to live programming, Olmer has coordinated high profile editorial features and documentary productions on property, working directly with leadership at nationally distributed luxury publications and major production companies. The work supports the hotel’s positioning across both consumer and trade media.

Background and Approach

Prior to her Miami role, Olmer spent several years in Israel curating luxury hospitality experiences for ultra high net worth international clients across properties including Six Senses, The Setai, and The Norman. That work, conducted within the cultural complexity of the Middle East, shaped her approach to cultural programming as an act of translation between a property and the city it occupies.

Olmer holds a Master of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and brings a background in journalism and media to her programming practice.

“Hotels should be cultural destinations, not just accommodations,” said Olmer. “The properties that will remain relevant over the next decade are the ones that participate meaningfully in the cities they occupy. Cultural programming, done seriously, is the infrastructure for that.”

Industry observers have noted a broader shift in luxury hospitality toward properties that integrate arts, food, and wellness programming as core offerings rather than ancillary amenities. Olmer’s work at Dua Miami sits inside that shift and has been recognised across Miami’s hospitality and cultural sectors.

About Dua Miami Hotel

Dua Miami is an Autograph Collection property located in the Brickell district of Miami. The 124-room hotel features the wood-fired Italian restaurant Ahu | Mar, a rooftop pool deck, and an on-site spa. The property positions itself at the intersection of design, culture, and contemporary hospitality.
