Dining Latino is produced in collaboration with Juntos de Lebanon and Level Eleven.
Owners Wilson Olivo and Berky Grauna, a husband-and-wife duo, opened the Latin House at 433 N. 9th St., Lebanon, two years ago. Since then, the business has flourished on to-go and take-out orders.

The restaurant, which pulls from Creole and Dominican cuisine in its menu, offers a variety of meats, grains, and sides that can be mixed and matched by customers.
Offerings include multiple flavors of mofongo, sancocho, chicarrón, and more. Some foods are pre-readied, and others are prepped on the spot for customers.

About 60% of the restaurant’s orders, Olivo said with translation from Julie Viera, come from online delivery services, with a delivery option on their website and other options including Doordash.

However, the restaurant offers tables for those who wish to dine in. In-person orders, Olivo added, are less expensive as they do not include a charge from a delivery service.
Olivo, also the head chef, emphasized a focus on locally-sourced, fresh ingredients without added chemicals to create healthy meals.

Grauna and Olivo have been married for 30 years, and worked in restaurants in the Dominican Republic for 20 years and Panama eight years before moving to the United States to open a business together. Olivo noted he especially learned to cook seafood in Panama, a skill he took into Latin House.

Since opening, Grauna said, the restaurant has seen good reception from customers, who come from a variety of backgrounds and walks of life.
The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers a catering menu for events but suggests that catering be ordered at least three or four days in advance.
