ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The FIFA World Cup officially kicks off on Thursday!

In Atlanta, most of the action will center on Downtown as fans flock to Atlanta Stadium — the temporary name of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium due to FIFA branding rules — to watch eight matches in person. But there are plenty of other places to watch games if you prefer smaller crowds.

A Celebration of Soccer and Sound

  • When: July 19, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Where: Piedmont Park; 400 Park Dr. NE, Atlanta, GA 30306
  • What: Watch the World Cup final on a big screen and see performances from several musicians, including Ludacris. You can also expect a kids’ zone, international food, a marketplace and interactive activities.
  • Price: Free, but you have to RSVP.

Alpharetta’s World Cup Watch Party

  • When: June 12 from 2-11 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown Alpharetta; 1 S Main St., Alpharetta, GA 30009
  • What: Watch the Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina and USA vs. Paraguay games on a large screen while enjoying local shops, live music, kids’ activities, food and drink specials and giveaways.
  • Price: Free!

Atlanta Beltline Fest

  • When: June 20-21
  • Where: Pittsburgh Yards; 352 University Ave. SW,
Atlanta, GA 30310
  • What: Watch several matches on a big screen and check out several other events, ranging from dance classes and live music performances to culinary experiences and soccer activities.
  • Price: Free, but RSVP to secure your spot: Here is the link for Saturday, and here is the link for Sunday.

ATL Fútbol Fest

  • When: June 26-27
  • Where: Assembly Studios Atlanta; 2582 Assembly Blvd., Doraville, GA 30360
  • What: Hosted by Telemundo Atlanta, WANF’s sister station, guests will be able to watch five matches on a big screen and enjoy a family zone, soccer activities and global cuisine at the event.
  • Price: General admission was free, but all the tickets have been taken. You can still secure a spot by getting a GA+ ticket at $35.80 or reserving a tent. Click here for ticket information.

Decatur WatchFest

  • When: June 11-July 19
  • Where: Decatur Square; 509 N McDonough St., Decatur, GA 30030
  • What: Watch more than 60 matches on three large outdoor screens or inside local restaurants and pubs. Guests will also enjoy live concerts, food trucks, giveaways, a children’s play area and more.
  • Price: Free!

Fútbol on the Square

  • When: June 11-21
  • Where: Colony Square; 1197 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30361
  • What: Fans can watch several games on a big screen at The Plaza. On June 14, the property will also host Fútbol Fest on the Square from 2-6 p.m., featuring live music, family-friendly activities, themed drinks and a watch party of the Netherlands vs. Japan match.
  • Price: Free!

Marietta SoccerFest ‘26

  • When: June 12-14
  • Where: Marietta Square; 99 S Park Square NE, Marietta, GA 30060
  • What: Fans can watch several matches on large screens. On June 14, the Franklin Gateway Sports Complex will also host Kids’ Gateway to the Goal, an event featuring soccer activities and food trucks.
  • Price: Free!

Kick it in the Nnett

  • When: June 15, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Where: Gwinnett Field; 2500 Buford Dr., Lawrenceville, GA 30043
  • What: Watch the Spain vs. Cabo Verde game from the stands or sitting on the field while enjoying family activities, ballpark food and a kids’ zone.
  • Price: Free, but you have to reserve a ticket.

O4W Soccer Kickoff Festival

  • When: June 11-13
  • Where: Historic Fourth Ward Park; 680 Dallas St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308
  • What: The neighborhood will celebrate the World Cup with several events. On Thursday, a bar crawl will take place on the Eastside Beltline and Edgewood corridor. Then on Friday, the park will set up big screens to watch the USA vs. Paraguay game, including live music and food vendors. Saturday wraps up the event with Kids Soccer in the Park.
  • Price: Free!

Soccer on the Lawn

  • When: June 12-19
  • Where: The Lawn at Trilith; 175 Trilith Pkwy., Fayetteville, GA 30214
  • What: Watch several matches on a big screen while browsing local restaurants nearby. There will also be U.S. Soccer giveaways.
  • Price: Free!
