Not everyone on Capitol Hill is interested in watching fights outside the White House.
UFC Freedom 250 takes place this Sunday in Washington, DC, where a number of star fighters are set to be in action in a unique environment.
Two title fights will close out the card on June 14, with lightweight champion Ilia Topuria returning to face Justin Gaethje and Alex Pereira attempting to win a third divisional title against Ciryl Gane.
The 4,300 attendance on the South Lawn of the White House will be made up of celebrities, politicians, and military personnel, but one congresswoman was not looking for an invite despite her MMA connection.

Former MMA fighter who became a congresswoman wonāt be at UFC Freedom 250
Before Sharice Davids became theĀ US representativeĀ fromĀ Kansasās 3rd congressional districtĀ in 2019, she fought eight times in MMA.
Davids went 5-1 as an amateur after making her debut in 2006. She later turned pro, winning one of her two fights before pursuing other ventures.
Of her six wins in the cage, three came via submission and two via knockouts.
Despite her history as a fighter, though, Davids evidently had little interest in attending UFC Freedom 250 on President Donald Trumpās birthday over being in her city for the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
āNo, Iām not,ā Davids told Raw Story when asked if she would be attending the UFC event at the White House.
āWeāre hosting the World Cup in Kansas City. Iād rather be there.
āNo,ā she added, when asked if she was at all tempted by the event. āI want to be in Kansas City!ā

Kansas City will be hosting a match for the first time next Tuesday, June 16. Defending champions Argentina will face Algeria at the Kansas City Stadium in Group J.
Davids is the only former MMA fighter currently in Congress after Sen. Markwayne Mullin became Department of Homeland Security Secretary this past March.
