NBA teams can include cash as part of a trade but are limited to $8,497,000 for all transactions during the 2026-27 season. That’s two separate figures representing what teams can take in and what they can send out.

Teams above the second apron ($221,737,000) cannot send out cash in trade; conversely, if a team sends out cash in trade, they have a second-apron hard cap.
