Detroit and Portland are among the teams reportedly interested in Brown.

Over the past few days, there have been numerous reports about which teams are interested in trading for Jaylen Brown.

Boston is reportedly taking calls about the five-time All-Star. ESPN’s Shams Charania said Boston has been asking certain teams for at least four first-round picks.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that a combination of picks and players wouldn’t get the job done.

From an Eastern Conference contender to a Western Conference foe with familiar faces, heres a look at which teams have been keeping tabs on Brown and what has reportedly been offered.

Portland Trailblazers

Charania said most of the Celtics’ conversations have been with Western Conference teams.

Portland snuck into the playoffs as a No. 7 seed this season, but wasn’t able to do much in the first round against the Spurs, losing in five games.

The Trail Blazers have a pair of former Celtics on the roster in Jrue Holiday and Robert Williams III. Damian Lillard is coming off a ruptured Achilles tendon, but had been one of the NBA’s most productive scorers at the time of his injury.

Portland is also team that has the kind of combination of young players and draft picks that could entice the Celtics, Charania said.

“Portland has been a team that has interest in Jaylen Brown,” Charania said during a recent appearance on “Get Up!”. “They had interest in LaMelo Ball. They had interest in Giannis Antetokounmpo. They are a team that has a ton of draft capital. They’ve got a ton of young talent on this team. Could they make an offer?”

Detroit Pistons

NBA Insiders Jake Fischer and Marc Stein both said they wouldn’t rule out Detroit making a play for Brown involving a sign and trade with center Jalen Duren.

Boston could use front-court help, and pairing Brown with Cade Cunningham could be an intriguing move for Detroit.

“There’s also a potential backstop emerging for Boston’s Jaylen Brown trade discussions,” Fischer wrote on X. “Detroit is very much weighing the prospect of signing-and-trading restricted free agent Jalen Duren for Brown, sources say, among other conceptual outcomes, if that option remains available for the Pistons once free agency opens on Tuesday early evening.”

Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota was looking for a guard to pair with Anthony Edwards. They ended up trading for LaMelo Ball, but Brown’s name had come up beforehand according The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski.

“They had talks with the Boston Celtics about Jaylen Brown, a team source said,” Krawczynski wrote of the Timberwolves. “But the Celtics were looking for a package including Gobert, Reid and similar pick compensation that went to Charlotte for Ball, team sources said.

“That was just too much for the Wolves to pay for a soon-to-be 30-year-old forward who, while being a better overall player than Ball, wasn’t as clean a fit next to Edwards.”
