DENVER – The University of Denver men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs have announced their 2026-27 competition schedules, head coach Alicia Hicken-Franklin announced on Tuesday.

Denver will open its season the weekend of October 2-3, when the swimming programs head north to Fort Collins for the 2026 Front Range Invite. The swimmers will return home before heading south to Colorado Springs two weeks later for a double dual date with Air Force and Washington State on October 16.

The Pioneers leave the state of Colorado for the first time the weekend of October 23-24 when Denver heads to Malibu for a double dual with full West Coast Conference members for nine of Denver’s varsity athletic programs in Pepperdine and Seattle.

DU opens its home schedule on October 30 when the women host Colorado State before both programs host Colorado Mesa on Halloween morning.

Denver’s championship style meet in the fall will see the Pioneers travel back to Minneapolis to once again take part in the Minnesota Invite from December 2-5.

The Pioneers open the New Year at home on January 2 when they host the Colorado School of Mines. DU will continue match-ups against West Coast Conference full time and MPSF affiliate members in the second week of January when the Pioneers travel to Moraga to take on Saint Mary’s and Pacific in a double dual.

Denver’s Senior Day meet is set for January 16 when the Pioneers welcome Wyoming to El Pomar Natatorium. Diving is set for 10 a.m. MT, Senior Day is set for 12 p.m. MT and the swimming portion of the meet will begin at approximately 12:20 p.m. MT.

A couple of weeks later, Denver will take its turn in hosting in the Sprint Eliminator Meet on Saturday, January 30, while the divers are in Colorado Springs for the Air Force Diving Invite.

In the two teams’ final preparation before the conference championships, Denver will host the First Chance Invitational from February 5-6.

The 2027 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimming and Diving Championships will take place February 17-20, and will feature 16 women’s and eight men’s programs.
