H-E-B hit pause on some of services for getting groceries at home or in your car — but now the features are operating again.
The San Antonio-based grocer temporarily suspended its delivery and curbside services in North Texas, according to Mabrie Jackson, managing director, public affairs, H-E-B/Central Market. It “issued a self-imposed pause on all Curbside and Home Delivery orders,” Jackson said in an emailed statement.
It was “not related to a software crash or security breach,” Jackson said before the services were turned back on in North Texas.
The pause came as the grocer ramps up in North Texas amid competition with stores like Walmart, Kroger and Tom Thumb. The company has opened stores in places such as Irving, Forney and the Euless area this year.
The grocer also has plans for more shops in places such as Dallas and Garland.
