Ronda Rousey will be making a rare appearance at an upcoming MMA event for charity.
In May, Rousey helped draw millions of viewers for the first MMA event to air live on Netflix.
While Gina Carano’s remarkable health transformation was her clear reason for wanting to return to the cage, her opponent expressed other motivations.
‘Rowdy’ wanting to positively impact MMA by coming back from a ten-year hiatus goes hand-in-hand with an MMA event that will take place later this month.

Ronda Rousey set to attend charity MMA event to raise money for fighter pension fund
Ronda Rousey spoke a lot about fighter pay and giving athletes more power ahead of her return to the cage on May 16.
While ‘Rowdy’ pushing for fighters to make more during their careers is a positive, there is still the question of what awaits former combatants when they hang up the gloves.
The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) have partnered with Raymond Vineyards to put on Napa Knockout on July 25.
All of the proceeds from this combat sports event will go towards the commission’s Fighter Pension Fund.
The card, which features MMA, boxing, and Muay Thai, is set to be attended by three of the stars of the first MMA event on Netflix, Ronda Rousey, Gina Carano, and Nate Diaz.
“This is the first fight card I’m going to attend in god knows how long – it’s a charity event in Napa to raise money for the California fighter pensions so if you care about supporting retired fighters and can make it you should consider going,” Rousey wrote on X.

General admission tickets for the Raymond Vineyards are set at $500, with ringside seats available for $1000.
CSAC implemented the first retirement fund for MMA fighters back in 2023, with it being funded by $1 of every ticket sold for an MMA event going towards it.
Rousey publicly supported the bill that requires fighters to have fought in at least 39 rounds in CSAC-sanctioned fights in order to be eligible for the fund.
The likes of Scott Coker, Gilbert Melendez, and Josh Thomson are also set to be in attendance.
