Spinato’s Pizzeria & Family Kitchen is heading to the West Valley.
The Valley-born pizza staple, which has established a heavy presence across the Phoenix metro area and inside the state’s premier sports venues, is officially expanding to the West Valley with plans to open a Goodyear location in late 2027.
The family- and employee-owned company signed a lease with Globe Corporation to construct a ground-up facility at GSQ-Goodyear Civic Square, located at the northwest corner of 150th Drive and McDowell Road.
Construction has already begun, with the shell slated to be handed over to Spinato’s in May 2027 for interior work ahead of an expected fourth-quarter opening.
For a brand that has been a Valley fixture since 1974, the expansion answers a long-running demand from West Valley residents.
“We are grateful that so many of our longtime, loyal guests have taken the time to drive far from their homes to dine at our restaurants,” Spinato’s CEO Anthony Spinato said in a release. “We heard them, and we are so excited to welcome them to our new Goodyear location next year.”
Spinato noted that the civic square’s atmosphere, which he compared to the Scottsdale Civic Center, made it the “perfect fit” for the brand’s seventh metro Phoenix restaurant. The new location is expected to bring between 75 and 95 full- and part-time jobs to the area.
The arrival also checks a major box for Goodyear city officials, who have been working to build out the GSQ area as a central community hub.
“Spinato’s is a well-loved Arizona brand and one of the restaurant concepts most requested by residents through the city’s retail survey,” Goodyear Mayor Joe Pizzillo said. “Their decision to open at GSQ reflects the continued momentum of our downtown and the strong demand for quality dining experiences in Goodyear.”
While the West Valley expansion is on the horizon, Spinato’s is also making an immediate move on the other side of town.
Spinato’s relocates north Phoenix location
The company has relocated its north Phoenix restaurant to a larger, modernized space at 1107 E. Bell Road, near the intersection of 7th Street and Bell Road. Slated to open Tuesday, July 14, the upgraded location replaces an older site that lacked the kitchen capability to support the brand’s full modern menu.
The new Bell Road location features expanded seating, an indoor-outdoor bar with a full spirits menu, an enclosed climate-controlled patio and a private dining room. To mark the transition from the old 1993 site, the location will exclusively feature a specialty “Saved by the Bell” margherita cocktail.
Known broadly for its Chicago-style thin crust, Spinato’s has grown into a prominent local sports partner, serving as the “Official Pizza” of the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and Arizona Cardinals with concessions inside downtown’s Mortgage Matchup Center and Glendale’s State Farm Stadium.
The company also announced extended kitchen hours across all locations. Spinato’s is closed on Monday but is open Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with weekend hours extending to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
