CANTON — Kyelin West enters his junior football season at Canton McKinley High School as one of the top running backs in the state.
After a breakout 2025 season under first-year McKinley head coach Renzy Parnell, West looks to lead the Bulldogs back to the Division I playoffs as they try to defend their Federal League title.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound West also is drawing plenty of college interest.

Kyelin West’s stats
- As a sophomore, he rushed for 1,504 yards in 2025. That ranked first in the Federal League and second in the area overall.
- West averaged 6.2 yards a carry and scored 12 touchdowns for McKinley, which went 9-3 and won the outright Federal League title.
- West ran for a season-high 198 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries in a 25-24 regional semifinal loss at Mentor.
