In a time when much of daily life happens behind screens, the Phoenix Legacy Foundation recently brought the community together around a shared purpose.
Supporters, local businesses, families, volunteers and nonprofit partners gathered at Bowlero Via Linda in Scottsdale for the foundation’s annual bowling fundraiser, raising support that will benefit organizations serving communities across Arizona.
Among those organizations is Youth For Troops, whose mission is to empower young people to honor and serve America’s military members, veterans and their families through acts of kindness and community service.
“Youth for Troops is incredibly grateful for the continued support of Phoenix Legacy Foundation. For years, PLF has generously championed our mission through both financial contributions and dedicated volunteer support,” said Tonya Piatt, a representative of Youth For Troops.
Founded in 2017, Phoenix Legacy Foundation supports nonprofit organizations throughout Arizona that serve veterans, first responders, children, families, seniors and animal welfare organizations. The foundation partners with dozens of organizations throughout the year to expand the impact of fundraising, volunteer service and community partnerships, according to a press release.
More than an afternoon of friendly competition, the event reflected the foundation’s belief that community impact begins when people invest their time, talents and resources in one another. Sponsorships, raffle donations, volunteer hours and event registrations helped support organizations serving communities across Arizona.
“Thank you, Phoenix Legacy Foundation, for your unwavering commitment to Youth for Troops and so many other deserving organizations. We are honored to be part of the difference you’re making every day,” said Renee Hoffa, a representative of Youth For Troops.
The bowling fundraiser is one of several annual community events hosted by Phoenix Legacy Foundation to encourage charitable giving while creating opportunities for nonprofit leaders, local businesses, volunteers and families to connect.
