Facing off in the 2026 NBA Summer League Championship, the Golden State Warriors will take on the Memphis Grizzlies. This is the second matchup between these two teams in Las Vegas, and there will be an intensity level beyond what is typically the case in this summer league setting.

The Grizzlies enter as 4.5-point favorites and hold -218 odds of winning outright on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Warriors hold +1800 odds of winning outright, with the game total set at 182.5 points.
Warriors vs. Grizzlies preview, prediction
The Golden State Warriors enter with a 4-1 record in Las Vegas and a 7-1 Summer League record, with the results from Salt Lake City included. Their lone loss came against this Grizzlies team in a 106-85 disappointment.
Looking at their other results, Golden State kicked off their Las Vegas stay with a 101-90 win over the Dallas Mavericks. The Warriors led for 94% of the matchup, extended the lead to as many as 24, and outperformed the Mavericks in just about every notable statistical category. They then blew out the Thunder 104-79 in an even more dominant performance, in which they out-rebounded OKC 45-26 and led for 89% of the matchup. Following the loss to the Grizzlies, Golden State took down the Knicks in an 87-77 win. The Warriors extended the lead to as many as 16 and held control for 95% of the matchup. Most recently, the Warriors defeated the Lakers 92-88 in their most even summer league battle to secure their place in tonight’s final.
L.J. Cryer leads the summer Warriors and is posting averages of 15.0 points and 3.8 assists. 11th overall pick Yaxel Lendeborg has impressed, adding 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. Graham Ike and Chance McMillian are also averaging in double figures, while Malevy Leons, Will Richard, and Nick Boyd have also had some impressive flashes. Golden State holds an overall point differential of +31 in the summer league.
The Memphis Grizzlies are 4-1 in Las Vegas Summer League play, and also hold a 7-1 overall record with Salt Lake City included.
In this current competition, the Grizzlies kicked things off with a narrow 97-96 win over the Bulls. Memphis stretched the lead to as many as 13 and led for 92% of the game, but a final push from Chicago put the result in doubt. Next, they fell short in a 96-88 loss to the Mavericks, during which Dallas held a lead for 74% of the game. Memphis shot just 37% from the field and 29% from beyond the three-point arc. The Grizzlies bounced back the following game with a 106-85 win over this Warriors team, and carried the momentum into the next matchup, which resulted in a 96-84 win over the Hawks. Memphis never trailed in the victory and was better in every notable statistical category. Most recently, the Grizzlies picked up a 101-90 victory over the Houston Rockets to earn the championship opportunity. The Grizzlies led for 98% of the matchup and extended it to as many as 22.
Last year’s 11th overall pick, Cedrick Coward, leads the production, averaging 19.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.0 assists thus far in summer league. This year’s third overall pick, Cameron Boozer, adds 18.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. Olivier-Maxence Prosper adds 16.0 points and 4.5 rebounds of his own, while Javon Small and Brendan Hausen are also averaging in double figures. Taylor Hendricks, Jahmai Mashack, and Tyler Burton also have had some impressive flashes. Memphis has an overall point differential of +51 across the summer league.
Warriors vs. Grizzlies pick, best bet
It is tough to ignore the results of the first matchup between these two teams in the summer league. Memphis picked up a 106-85 win in which they stretched the lead to as many as 27 and held control for 68% of the matchup. The Grizzlies shot an impressive 47% from the field, 53% from beyond the three-point arc, and got to the free-throw line 20 times. Memphis also won the rebounding battle 37-29.
This was the most disappointing performance of the summer league for the Warriors, while largely on par with what has been seen from the Grizzlies. Memphis entered the summer league with arguably the deepest and most talented roster, and high expectations as a result of this. Four the Grizzlies five starters had multiple starts in the NBA last season, while Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Taylor Hendricks have each logged over 100 NBA minutes in their three-year careers. Rookie Cameron Boozer already carries himself and performs like a seasoned veteran to round out the top names.
While the Warriors organization should be wildly encouraged by the level of play from their young talent, they do not have the level of talent and experience to match this. Memphis’ lone loss should not be ignored, but some outlier shooting from the Mavericks feels like the true root of this. Dallas shot 51% from the field and 46% from beyond the three-point arc in the matchup, even while the Grizzlies pulled in 15 more rebounds and forced 20 turnovers.
Golden State has been impressive beyond what seemed possible coming into the summer league. But I am backing the more talented team and believing in the consistent dominance that the Grizzlies have put on display. They have the largest combined margin of victory in the summer league and held full control of this matchup in the first game. Back the Grizzlies to produce a similar performance to the first matchup and for the level of NBA experience on this Memphis roster to be the difference in a victory by more than the 4.5-point spread.
