A small plane landed on a house roof outside Houston, Texas, with one person reportedly injured.
Fulshear Simonton Fire Department, in a social media post, said it, along with other local and state agencies, responded to a plane that had landed on a house near the Covey Trails Airstrip — just east of Houston — around 6:45 a.m. CT on July 20.
The Federal Aviation Administration identified the small aircraft as a Piper J3C-65 in a social media post and noted that only the pilot was on board. The FAA said it will investigate the incident.
The pilot suffered minor injuries while attempting to land at the private airstrip, according to ABC13, citing the Texas Department of Public Safety. The pilot was taken to Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.
It was not immediately clear whether the home was occupied when the plane landed into it or what led to it doing so.
