And then there was one.
Eleven seasons removed from the Denver Broncos‘ win in Super Bowl 50, only one player from that 2015 roster remains under contract in the NFL: quarterback Trevor Siemian.
Siemian, who was a rookie seventh-round pick out of Northwestern in 2015, served as the team’s third-string quarterback that season behind starter Peyton Manning and backup Brock Osweiler. The 34-year-old journeyman is now a backup with the Atlanta Falcons.
Four other players from that 2015 season remain free agents: pass rushers Von Miller and Shane Ray, kicker Brandon McManus and long snapper Aaron Brewer.
Miller, 37, plans to play this season, and he’d like to return to the Broncos before the end of his career. Ray has spent time with three NFL teams and two CFL teams since his time in Denver, winning two Grey Cup titles in Canada. His contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders expired after the 2025 season and he’s a 33-year-old free agent.
McManus, 34, spent the last two seasons with the Green Bay Packers before being released this spring. Brewer handled long-snapping duties with the Arizona Cardinals from 2016-2025. The 36-year-old specialist became a free agent in March and was not re-signed by Arizona.

Miller seems likely to land a role as a rotational pass rusher somewhere this season, and McManus and Brewer could end up back in the league as injuries pop up. For now, though, Siemian is the last remaining active player from that Super Bowl squad still in the league.
