Yet another real estate project will soon begin on San Antonio’s Far Westside. Development and management company Dominum is planning a $75 million project near JBSA-Lackland, according to a recently submitted Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing.

The Minnesota-based business specializes in developing affordable housing communities and operates more than 220 communities worldwide, according to its website. Its newest endeavor in the Alamo City is slated for 7623 SW Loop 410, not far from the beloved Traders Village.

Dubbed The Silo, the property will feature 404 units, a mix of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans. Future residents will also enjoy access to a clubhouse, one pool, a bus shelter, and two playgrounds, among other amenities. The TDLR report, filed on Wednesday, July 15, states that the property will span more than 800,000 square feet.

Dominiun Vice President of Communications Mike Voss tells MySA that he expects The Silo to be fully built within the next two to three years. Construction is scheduled to begin this October.

“Rents would be income-restricted to 60% of median area income,” Voss said. “This means that a family of four making just over $60,000 would qualify. We estimate that rents will vary between $1,100 and $1,700 per month depending on unit size.”

The project is part of a broader trend of development on the Far Westside. Over the past several years, the area has seen new restaurants, schools and data centers set up shop nearby. A rendering of what The Silo will look like was not readily available when MySA reached out to Dominium.

This story will be updated with new information as it becomes available. A construction completion date is tentatively scheduled in the TDLR report for October 2028.
