NORMAN – Oklahoma head men’s golf coach Jonathan Moore announced the Sooners’ 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday as the first-year head coach prepares to lead Oklahoma in pursuit of its 16th consecutive NCAA Championships appearance.

The Sooners open the season Sept. 13-15 at the Inverness Collegiate at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, the historic venue that has hosted four U.S. Opens and two PGA Championships. Oklahoma finished third at the event in 2024 during Moore’s first season on the OU staff.

The fall schedule continues Sept. 20-21 at the Gopher Invitational at Windsong Farm Golf Club in Independence, Minn., before the Sooners head to Fort Worth, Texas, for the Ben Hogan Collegiate at Colonial Country Club on Sept. 28-29.

Oklahoma returns to the Williams Cup at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, N.C., on Oct. 18-20 before closing the fall slate at the Ka’anapali Classic on Oct. 26-28 at Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course in Lahaina, Hawai’i. The Sooners have won the event in each of the last four seasons, including a program-record 63-under-par performance in 2025. Rising senior Ryder Cowan claimed medalist honors with a school-record 20-under 193 last year.

The spring campaign begins Feb. 13-14 at the Gators Invitational at Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla.

Oklahoma returns to the Las Vegas Invitational at TPC Summerlin on Feb. 28-March 2 before staying in out west for the Arizona Thunderbirds Collegiate at Tucson Country Club on March 15-16.

The Sooners head back to the Valspar Collegiate on March 22-23 at Floridian National Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., where they finished seventh last season.

The regular season concludes with two tournaments in Texas. Oklahoma will compete at the Maridoe Intercollegiate at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton on March 30-31 before traveling to Bryan for the Aggie Invitational at Traditions Golf Club on April 9-10. The Sooners have captured two team titles at Maridoe (2021, 2025), while Ryder Cowan and Clark Van Gaalen have each recorded top-10 finishes at the event during their careers.

Postseason play begins April 21-25 with the SEC Championship at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga. The championship opens with 54 holes of stroke play before the top eight teams advance to match play.

NCAA Regional competition is scheduled for May 17-19 at sites to be announced. The NCAA Championships return to Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., from May 28-June 2 for the fourth consecutive year.

Moore enters his first season as head coach after spending the previous three seasons as the program’s associate head coach. He welcomes back All-Americans Ryder Cowan and Clark Van Gaalen, along with three additional returners who saw action during last season’s postseason run: Matthew Troutman, PJ Maybank III and Cameron Cheek. Moore and his staff also added two of the nation’s top transfers in Cayse Morgan, the 2026 BIG EAST Golfer of the Year at Xavier, and Bradley Sawka, who captured the Connecticut State Open title last week. The roster is rounded out by one of the nation’s top freshmen in Lucas Gimenez and rising sophomore Preston Albee.
