Eddie Hall is already in talks for another massive MMA fight, and it is literally massive.
On Friday, ‘The Beast’ lived up to his nickname when he brutally knocked out two men in a bizarre 2 vs 1 handicap MMA match at a World Freak Fight League event in Blackburn.
A few days later, he revealed his next opponent could be Mariusz Pudzianowski, who is a five-time World’s Strongest Man winner and 27-fight MMA veteran.
Hall captioned a picture of the pair and started by asking who is ready for it.
“Talks are in motion and to be honest, I’m bricking it. Which is totally fine – Marius is strong and also has 15+ years experience in the MMA game. But I’m game.
“One things for sure, I’ll come in with two biceps and fully prepared for a bloodbath.
“Training starts next week. May the highest bidder please step forward.”
During the noughties, Pudzianowski was crowned the ‘World’s Strongest Man’ in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2008, while taking silver in 2006 and 2009.
At the end of the decade, the Polish strongman switched to fighting and jumped straight in at the deep end by facing MMA icon Bob Sapp, boxing legend Butterbean and former UFC champion Tim Sylvia in his first seven bouts.
The 47-year-old has suffered quick losses in his last two fights, which included a shocking upset defeat to former Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora opponent, Artur Szpilka.
However, before that he was on an incredible five-fight winning streak and finished all of his opponents by knockout, with four of them falling in the first frame.
The 17-9 (1NC) fighter will almost certainly be the favourite heading into a clash with Hall, who despite his recent win is still a novice in the sport of MMA.
Hall won the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2017 before deciding to follow in the footsteps of Pudzianowski by transitioning to fighting.
At his peak, Hall tipped the scales at more than 197kg before shedding around 50kg as he prepared for combat sports.
He overhauled his diet and training regime to get his body ready for the rigours of the ring.
Speaking about his weight loss, Hall previously said: “Cardio training for big guys is unique, you have to adapt it so that you don’t lose muscle and you don’t tire out.
“Using methods to not only improve your cardiovascular system but also help your body to recover after weight sessions by shifting lactic acid, helping the tendons, ligaments and muscles to repair.”
First, he fought in boxing and suffered a defeat to fellow strongman Thor Bjornsson in March 2022.
Mitchell Hopper, the current World’s Strongest Man, was meant to be his first MMA opponent, but their fight fell through before Hall agreed to face the Neffati Brothers.
The TikTok stars were novices and much smaller than Hall, who will take many steps through the levels if his fight with Pudzianowski comes to fruition.
