All right, so I want you to listen here very, very closely.
But if you close your eyes, you can hear the potential opportunity knocking for the Miami Dolphins.

Easton Butler covers the Packers and recently put out a post that teams are calling about the availability of cornerback Carrington Valentine.
Among the three teams that he included in his post, that’s right, the Miami Dolphins.
Now, full disclosure, these things are usually just due diligence, and it’s much harder for a trade to manifest and come to life than is usually talked about.
But exploratory calls happen all the time across the NFL, and I am personally a big fan of the idea of the Dolphins exploring Carrington Valentine.
Now, he has experience in the Jeff Hafley scheme.
He’s been a player the last two years under Hafley and been a starter at cornerback.

The Dolphins have a myriad of names in their cornerback room, but not a lot in the way of proven producers.
Now, first-round draft choice Chris Johnson is almost assuredly going to be a starter that never leaves the field.
It’s just a matter of whether he’s gonna be in the slot and nickel or if he’s gonna play on the outside on base defense.
But that other spot, one of the big contenders for a starting competition is Daryl Baker, who has been on the physically unable to perform list since the start of the season.
Juju Brents, as a fourth-year player who has plenty of talent and is a former top fifty draft choice, hasn’t been able to stay healthy throughout his NFL career, and that includes already missing some time during this year’s camp.

If the price is right for Carrington Valentine, this is a player I think the Dolphins should absolutely be knocking on the door and ready to bring down to South Florida for the twenty twenty-six season.
