EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) — Police are searching for two gunmen after a 17-year-old boy was fatally shot outside a restaurant in East New York, Brooklyn Wednesday night.
Shots were fired during a dispute between two men on New Lots Avenue just after 8:20 p.m.
Police say 17-year-old Ahmir Jordan was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed from inside the restaurant around 1 a.m.
A 35-year-old man was grazed in the right arm by glass during the shooting. Investigators believe he may have been inside the restaurant when the shots were fired.
The two suspects fled the scene. Police say they were wearing all black with blue face masks.
Detectives have not determined a motive for the shooting.
Police say Jordan had no prior interaction with law enforcement.
Less than a half-mile away, two teenage girls, ages 13 and 15, were stabbed around 8:30 p.m. on Van Siclen Avenue.
Both girls were taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
Police told Eyewitness News that the shooting and stabbing are believed to be unrelated at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
