Liberty football is dealing with NCAA violations involving three members of its coaching staff and two prospective student-athletes.
The Level II violations stem from impermissible communications between members of the Flames’ football staff, the two prospects and individuals representing them. Neither prospect ended up enrolling at Liberty.
The university has acknowledged the violations and is working toward a resolution with the NCAA. Liberty has also imposed its own penalties, including suspensions for the staff members involved.
