Starting Sept. 1 and throughout the month, Applebee’s restaurants operated by SSCP Management will offer the Dos-A-Rita and the 1800 Coconut Lemonade Margarita for $6.99 each.

The promotion will be available at participating restaurants in Dallas, Austin, Houston and other parts of Central and East Texas.

The Dos-A-Rita combines Applebee’s House Margarita with a 7-ounce bottle of Dos Equis Lager. It is served over ice with a salted rim and fresh lime. Guests can order it frozen for an additional $1.

The second option, the 1800 Coconut Lemonade Margarita, is made with 1800 Coconut Tequila, lemonade and triple sec and is served over ice with fresh lime.

The promotion comes ahead of the official start of Hispanic Heritage Month, which is celebrated in the United States from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. SSCP decided to begin its campaign Sept. 1 and offer the specialty drinks throughout the month.

“Hispanic heritage is not something that suddenly becomes relevant in Texas on September 15, the official start of Hispanic Heritage Month. It is part of who we are every day,” Blake Roe, vice president of marketing for SSCP, said in a news release.

Dallas-based SSCP Management is a family-owned company founded by Sunil Dharod that operates Applebee’s restaurants in several regions across Texas.

The $6.99 margaritas will be available for dine-in only and while supplies last.

The promotion applies to Applebee’s restaurants in Texas operated by SSCP, excluding locations in Kyle, San Antonio, New Braunfels, Marshall, Texarkana and Mount Pleasant.

In 2016, Applebee’s restaurants operated by SSCP Management launched the Dollarita, a $1, 10-ounce House Margarita created to drive traffic to its restaurants. The promotion proved so successful it was later adopted by Applebee’s restaurants nationwide.

Applebee’s has locations in Fort Worth, Lake Worth, Burleson, Arlington, Euless, Grapevine, Lewisville, Dallas, Duncanville, Richardson, Mesquite, Rowlett, Rockwall and Forney. applebees.com.
