BISMARCK, N.D. – Ethan Moe led the way as the North Dakota State men’s cross country team captured the team title at the UMary Marauders Opener on Friday afternoon at McDowell Dam Recreation Area.
The Bison scored 25 points to win the seven-team meet, finishing 26 points ahead of host University of Mary. NDSU placed five runners among the top seven finishers in the men’s eight-kilometer race.
Moe (Williston, N.D.) finished third overall in 25:06.3 to pace the Bison. Will Gerber was fourth in 25:29.3, followed closely by Regan Bosch in fifth at 25:29.6 and Brady Goss in sixth at 25:30.0.
Taylor Wanner placed seventh in 25:44.8 to complete NDSU’s team scoring. Quinn Roehl finished ninth in 25:52.4, while Joe Quinn was 11th in 26:08.7.
NDSU freshman Owen Johnson added a 12th-place finish in 26:24.2 for his collegiate debut.
The Bison will compete next on Friday, Sept. 18, at Minnesota’s Roy Griak Invitational.
