Dolce & Gabbana. Burberry. Gucci. Michael Kors. And, Spirit Halloween? Yes. You read that right.

As summer officially fades and spooky season creeps closer, Spirit Halloween is already making moves, and this time, the seasonal retailer is turning heads by popping up in an unexpected retail spot.

The Halloween chain is known for its annual takeover of vacant storefronts, transforming everything from strip centers to massive former big-box spaces into its signature orange-and-black playground.

“And this is how I find out the Neiman’s closed?!” TikTok user @kallimcqueen commented.

“Yeah the best choice out of all those stores is Spirit Halloween!” @alishasmomma4 wrote.

“Honestly that would be my favorite spot to shop,” @artemis_wandering added.

One TikTokcommenter, @millennialporexcelencia joked around saying, “Who said Spirit Halloween is not a luxury brand???”

It turns out there’s a method behind the madness.

Spirit Halloween says it typically looks for temporary leases of about three months, targeting high-visibility locations in strip centers, power centers, malls, downtown retail areas and freestanding stores, according to its website.

The company aims to set up shop in communities with at least 35,000 people within a three- to five-mile radius and locations seeing at least 25,000 cars a day.

And the company is flexible on square footage, looking for spaces between 5,000 and 50,000 square feet, though Spirit says no store is “too large (or too small).”
