One thing that hasn’t changed is McKillip’s love for Seattle sports teams. The Mariners were were in contention for a wild card spot until their season unraveled while the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks opened their season off with a win in a Super Bowl rematch against the New England Patriots.
“Sadly it wasn’t to be for the Mariners this season,” he says. “Things didn’t go their way and now they have to reboot for next season. It is a shame because here and there they showed sparks of brilliance but baseball is a long season and you have to be incredibly consistent over a long amount of time.”
“As for the Seahawks, last year was an incredible season. I can’t believe how quickly the season has come back and can’t wait to see if they can make it back to back! There is every chance they can but injuries and lack make it all so random so we will have to wait and see.”
Later in the year will come the chance for McKillip to cheer on the two Utah teams – the Jazz in the NBA and the Mammoth in the NHL.
