Miami is 0-2 on the season, having lost to the Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco 49ers by an average of 18 points. They have shown flashes of potential, but have not been able to put together a complete game in all three phases. Last week, the offense was able to move the ball in the first half against the 49ers, but then everything fell apart in the second. The defense struggled to slow the 49ers attack and special teams – well, they continue to be anything but special.
The Chiefs, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes back under center after missing the end of last year, are rolling early in the season. Sitting at 2-0, they started the season with prime time wins against the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts. Now, they settle into an afternoon game in Miami as road favorites.
