SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth owner Ryan Smith said his group would be “aggressive” if an opportunity emerged to bring Major League Baseball to Utah.
Smith made the comments in an interview with Front Office Sports.

The Larry H. Miller Company already leads the Big League Utah effort to bring an MLB team to Salt Lake City. The group has proposed a ballpark site and secured state funding.
MLB has not opened a formal expansion process, though Salt Lake City has been viewed as a potential expansion market.
The Miller family reportedly has an agreement connected to an expansion bid, meaning the two groups could need to work together if Utah lands a team.
