The Denver Broncos had a rough start to the season, but quickly righted the ship last Sunday. Now they have a chance to get back into the winning record column at home against a pretty solid Los Angeles Rams squad. The prime time matchup will likely have a playoff-type atmosphere despite it only being Week 3.
In fact, both teams stumbled into the season in their first game and then put together impressive wins last week. The Rams likely need this win more given the division they are playing in, but Denver has a surprising 2-0 team sharing the lead in the AFC West so they cannot afford to fall too far behind either.

Collectively, our Mile High Report staff is predicting a Broncos 25-19 victory at home over the Rams. Here’s how we predicted the outcome individually:
I think this game surprises people and ends up being more of a shootout type game late with Bo Nix doing his usual late game heroics to pull off the last second victory. In reality, the Rams are a good football team and in today’s NFL the homefield advantage thing matters a lot less than it once did. This game could go either way, but I remain a Boliever. – Tim Lynch
Broncos 17, Rams 14. The Broncos defense will shine brightly under the primetime lights, and Bo Nix will find enough points to send the Broncos to 2-1. But it won’t be easy. – Mike DeCicco
Bo Nix has a chance at redemption on primetime against the Rams. He throws for 3 touchdowns, one to Waddle, one to Harvey and another to Sutton who makes one of his crazy touchdown catches. The defense and pass rush makes life hell for Stafford as they total 5 sacks including a strip sack by Nik Bonitto who gets 2 sacks on the night. Let’s give PS2 an INT as well. – Scotty Payne
The Rams are going to be a tough opponent. Their offense was the best in the NFL last season and Matthew Stafford was the league MVP. Denver needs to limit their offensive impact as much as possible. The second half adjustments the Broncos made on offense really helped out Bo Nix and their run game looked much better. I’d like to see more of that moving forward. All things considered, I think this will be a very close game. But I’m optimistic Denver can find a way to get a victory in primetime. – Chris Hart
I like the way our defense bounced back last week. Sure, Stafford is one of the best QBs in the game. Sure, he still has Devante Adams to throw to. Yes, Aaron Donald is back. This defense is made to give them fits. I think the offense is going to be just fine and put up plenty of points with home-field advantage. – Sadaraine
The Broncos and Rams are both coming off of bounce back wins. The bounce backs were not the same. Denver needed a few extra quarters to find its rhythm, and they beat a strong Jacksonville team that had gone into Mile High a season ago and made the Broncos look silly. The Rams beat up on a Giants team that lost its starting QB immediately, and the game was never really a contest. The Giants are not good. So, the Broncos will be a big test for Los Angeles. One they will fail. – Adam Malnati
Denver needs to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball against the Rams. It’s cliche, but in a game pitting two great teams against each other, that’s where success will be decided. Nix and the offense will also execute better in the red zone and finish drives, while the defense limits the big plays from Stafford and the LA offense. – Ian St. Clair
